About Ultimate Field Day

Where Iron County Comes Together to Cheer

Every spring, the Southern Utah University track transforms into one of the most electric atmospheres in Iron County. Thousands of students, parents, teachers, and community members pack the stands as the top young athletes from elementary schools across the district come together to compete, represent their schools, and experience something most of them will never forget.

That's Ultimate Field Day — and it exists because Manuele Law believes that investing in kids is one of the most important things a local business can do.

How It Works

Ultimate Field Day isn't just open to anyone — it's earned. Before the big event, each participating school holds its own field day to identify its best young athletes. The top two boys and top two girls from third, fourth, and fifth grade at each school earn their spot to represent their school at the district-wide competition.

On event day, those students compete in the 100-meter dash, 400-meter run, and softball throw. Schools are scored as a team, competing not just for individual pride but for their entire school community. The result is an atmosphere that has to be experienced to be believed — packed stands, roaring classmates, and the kind of school spirit that reminds everyone why community events matter.

More Than a Race

The competition is just the backdrop. What Ultimate Field Day is really about is giving kids a moment that's bigger than themselves.

For many of these students, running onto an NCAA track in front of thousands of cheering fans is a once-in-a-lifetime experience. For the kids watching from the stands, it's a chance to see someone from their own school — someone they know — compete at a level that inspires them. And for the families, teachers, and volunteers who show up every year, it's a reminder of what a community looks like when it chooses to celebrate its young people.

Schools that participate also receive prize donations, with top finishers earning contributions that go directly back to their school communities.

Built by the Community, for the Community

An event this size doesn't happen alone. Ultimate Field Day relies on the generosity of local organizations and volunteers who share the belief that kids deserve big moments. Southern Utah University provides the venue. High school track athletes from Canyon View and Parowan step up as volunteers. Organizers, timers, and coordinators give their time to make every detail run smoothly.  And every year, the event grows.

Become a Sponsor

Ultimate Field Day is funded by Manuele Law because we believe in putting our resources where our values are. But we also know that the more businesses and organizations that get behind this event, the bigger and better it can become for the kids of Iron County.

If your business believes in supporting youth, celebrating achievement, and showing up for the community — this is your event. Sponsorships directly increase prize donations to participating schools, help cover event costs, and put your name in front of thousands of local families who show up every single year.

To learn more about sponsorship opportunities, contact Manuele Law. We'd love to build something great together.

Ultimate Field Day is held annually on the last Wednesday of the school year. Schools, businesses, and community members interested in participating or sponsoring are encouraged to reach out to Manuele Law
